What is the process of the charcoal production line?

In general, a complete biochar making system contains 3 steps:

Preatment - drying

Before start your charcoal production, it is necessary to adjust the moisture content of raw materials to below 15%. This is essential for preparing quality biochar and finishing the carbonization quickly. In addition, for a continuous charcoal making system, you also need to pay attention to material particles size. It is advisable to keep below 20 mm. Here, you need professional drying machine and crushing equipment.

Carbonization

Then processed raw materials will move to carbonization furnace, which is key to turning biomass into charcoal. Under the low oxygen and high temperature environment, raw material will take place pyrolysis reaction and decompose into biochar.

Waste gas treatment

In the process of biochar making, there is a large amount of combustible gas generated. It can use as heat source for subsequent carbonization. However, you need to purify the combustible gas with dust collectors and cooling devices before using.

How long does equipment take to make biochar?

In general, it is not fixed.
